Deye inverter running on solar only

Question

Posted

I have a site with a 8-kW Deye inverter connected to two shotos and solar panels. Recently I have removed the batteries for BMS repairs and the system is running with solar plus grid only. Lord behold the substation feeding the client has burnt down and now the client is only left with solar panel. I know most pv inverters need a reliable source of supply (battery or grid) to run, but I thought hybrids can still run with solar only. Has anyone experienced the problem and what can be done to resolve it?

Scratch around for 4x 12V old batteries, just to power the inverter during the daylight hours.

If you are in KZN midlands, I could offer you 4x 12V old Gel batteries to get you through until the lithium's are repaired. 👍
