BritishRacingGreen Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 (edited) Hi solar gurus , I have two strings of Junko 460w , 5 panels in series in each string. Do I need external steering diodes to combine the two string to one PV input for the inverter.? I need to test the combined strength over the weekend , and can only lay my hands on diodes by Monday. Is there already diode blocking inherent in the panels ? At the moment I have 32 amp individual fuses for each string , plus transient suppression . Irocmaster Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 If you're panels are on the same direction and angle you do not need any diods. Diods on the panels are for reverse protection. BritishRacingGreen 1 Quote

Mostly all panels have diodes fitted inside. BritishRacingGreen 1 Quote
