May 14, 20224 yr Hi solar gurus , I have two strings of Junko 460w , 5 panels in series in each string. Do I need external steering diodes to combine the two string to one PV input for the inverter.? I need to test the combined strength over the weekend , and can only lay my hands on diodes by Monday. Is there already diode blocking inherent in the panels ? May 14, 20224 yr If you're panels are on the same direction and angle you do not need any diods. Diods on the panels are for reverse protection.

Mostly all panels have diodes fitted inside.
