May 30, 20224 yr I have 2 X 5000 ES growatt inverters connected in parallel. According to the manual the max current output is 18 Amps. In my case it looks like it takes the sum of both to reach 18 Amps, that does not make cense. One would expect to get 36 Amps in total in other words 18 Amps from each inverter. unless my PV has reached it's max, but I'm pretty sure that it can produce much more specially at this time of the day....see attached
May 30, 20224 yr I believe that the 18 A figure is the maximum rated PV current, beyond which the solar charge controller could be damaged. So you should not connect (strings of) panels that have a combined Isc of more than 18 A. The actual PV current you will see depends on how many panels, panel nominal power, angle, strength of the sun, and what loads there are for solar (battery charging and supporting AC loads).
May 30, 20224 yr Author @Coulomb Thanks for the reply. I have to strings of 6 X CSUN10-140 in series, each connected to one inverter. Herewith is the spec of my panels. I think I'm exceeding the current 7.93 X 6 =+_ 51 Amps
