Axpert Settings On Grid.

Featured Replies

So the good news is that I finally got my Eskom prepaid installed on the farm today! It only took 10 months so not bad for Sa!

Now that I have the option to go to the grid rather than my genny that runs at R 20 per hour. I would need to change the settings on the inverter.

Basicly what I need is that if I go over to the grid the batts should still be charged by the panels but not by the grid.Is this possible?
I would imagine that I will keep the inverter on Grid priority and close a relay to put the eskom power to the inverter but I still need to work through that.

Speaking of that , what would the max voltage be that you could push through a BMV?  I recently got a 25a Geyser relay but the coil takes 220 v to close the contactor. I would assume that the current would be near nothing as it only needs to power the coil. Any ideas?

Regards

Paul

Does anyone know where that thread is where we discussed the BMV relay in depth, where I switch 220v relays with it?

Setting 16: OSO. Solar will be the only charge source no matter if utility is available or not.

Haha we argued this one to death and TTT emerged victor ..... that's why he remembers it .

The BMV manual says 60V 1A max.  Victron confirmed that the dry contact can actually take 220V AC (and I presume still limited to 1A). I now have a relay that is opened  based on BMV SOC. TTT's pearl of wisdom considerably simplified the wiring thereof.

I'll have to look for the thread I have been summons for Saturday morning target practice,
