Din Rail Amp / Watt Display - Reverse Flow

Featured Replies

Hi All

Hoping someone can help... I currently have an Amp meter (as per the picture below) installed on my DB Board with my inverter in the garage. The idea was that at any point I can see what the house is drawing from the inverter. This has worked very well and now you have versions with Watts displayed too.

I have since upgraded to a Sunsynk and want replace the meter with one which shows when the inverter is feeding back to house. Currently this meter shows the amperage but I never know the direction.

Thanks in advanced

Unfortunately meters that show the direction are quite scarce and expensive. Perhaps some of the turning meters available might reverse but then you don't know the actual value.

The only one I know of is the Eastron Smart X835. You can find a review of it on YouTube. A great meter for 1/3 phase.

Yes they make some good meters
They do have a single phase one that can measure both incoming nd outgoing energy.
And it has modbus output so you can bring the data into your graphing software as well.
