24v Oliter Lithium

Featured Replies

Good day All. Thanks for the amazing forum, I've been following for a few months. I've installed a few 48v back up systems which are all working great but I'm currently stuck on a 24v system. Can't seem to find charge settings anywhere online. Inverter is Synapes 3.0+ and battery is Oliter 24v 100ah Lithium (OTLVS25.6V). Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

This may help - https://www.aliexpress.com/i/1005002864371950.html

My suggested inverter settings:

Charge: 28.0v

Float: 27v

Back to Grid: 24.5v - others can pitch in here

Back to Battery: 25.6v - others can pitch in here

Max Charge: 30A

Thanks @Douw Gerber These settings are definitely in line with the info I've been finding online. Previously I've used Synapse and Mecer with Hubble AM-4 but naturally they have the charge specifications on their site. The Hubble charge and float voltage is 1v more than the Oliter. I'm not sure if this is capacity related as Hubble is 110ah vs Oliter 100ah.

It would seem that the Oliter is a 8cell LiFePO4 battery, then you can basically use the 8 X xV, where for charging, which should not exceed, lets say, 3.55V, so 28.4V charge Voltage and float should then be 28.3V or 28.35V, if you want to be kind to your battery, you can drop these by 50 to 100mV per cell. On the low end, I wouldn't go lower than 2.9V on the discharge side per cell, so 8 X 2.9V, so 23.2V absolute low before calling it... but again, you may want to be more conservative.

For the most part the min/max Voltages for LiFePO4 cells are given as 2.5V/3.7V, but do some more homework on this, I do not have a Oliter and the cells they use may have different parameters (I doubt it), but getting to the extreme edges of the cycle, 2.5V and 3.7V should probably be avoided as those edges on the charge/discharge curves don't contain much energy anyway and will only shorten the life of the cells once you dip into those ranges regularly...
