August 17, 20223 yr HELLO! Let me start by saying ze this is my first topic on the forum I would like to ask the forum community if anyone has tried to communicate a GoodWe GW5048D-ES inverter with an external BMS for a homemade battery pack. I have not found anywhere information about the communication protocol that is used in the inverter. I have a problem with this topic and decided to ask myself if anyone has already come up with such an idea. Thank you in advance. Greetings! Edited August 17, 20223 yr by mark00

There is a "default lithium" setting available on the Goodwe, but you can't manipulate the parameters using the app. If your pack can live with those settings (and if you can make up the right cable), then you're away. Or if you want to run without comms you can use the "self define" mode. Which does allow you to edit the various parameters, but will ignore comms with the BMS.
