When I connect the inverter to the PC (Win10) via Micro USP, it does not appear as a COM port but is recognised as a USB input device. But Watchpower expects a COM port. Is there a special driver or how else does it work? LG Michael

August 24, 20223 yr Author Thank you for the answer. But the problem is the missing com port. Neither Soalrpower nor Watchpower work without it. Actually, a USB to serial adapter should be recognised. Instead, an HID input device is recognised.
August 24, 20223 yr The driver of your USB adapter is not good , find the proper driver for your adapter and will work. Also , check under USB settings if "VCP" is thicked. (Virtual Com Port).
August 27, 20223 yr Had similar problem. my SMG uses Modbus protocol and only Smartess worked via wifi, no other app worked, try Solar Assistant as they are upgrading their software to support that protocol. I´m reading my Easun SMG now. They also have nice support.
