When 2x Hubble AM-2 batteries are connected in parallel with the communication cable linked, does the batteries discharge equally or does it discharge the Slave 1st and then the Master?

They share load charge and discharge relatively equally

It is better if you connect the inverter negative lead to 1 battery and the positive to the other battery when they are parallel or the 1 battery with both leads to the inverter will be used more.
