Sorry, was on the road the whole day. Only catching up now.

My axpert is being monitored by a 5 year old laptop with win7 on which is about 12m apart. ICC has got the option to choose between serial and usb connection. Both worked for me with the cables that came with the Axpert and a 10m usb extension. On serial i use a serial to usb converter. Currently I'm connected as follow. Laptop, serial to usb converter, serial cable, remote panel, network cable, axpert. A total of about 16m so i don't think 10m would be a problem.

Do you know what the power consumption is on your unit? 

My laptop uses about 60watts. Way more than a rpi but it also monitors my cctc system and my wife could actually google some recipes and print it so it does a bit more than just ICC. Works for me.

I can also teamviewer it and check ICC, cctv, etc from anywhere using my cellphone.

I will check it out over a day or 2 and let you know but it will be extremely low = SSD, no monitor, no cooling fans, laptop power supply, the only thing using power is the atom processor which is not very power hungry.

Dit you get the SSD with? Would be nice  
The easiest way to check is to look at the power supply that runs it. If it is a 12v 3a  psu then you could guesstimate 3x12 = 66w

 

@PaulF007It is 19v/2.1a=40w, but that would allow some overhead. I will test it later for fun but I guess less than 30w with the SSD.

I added SSD and upgraded from 2GB to 4GB ram because I initially used it as a Kodi media centre. I removed it from that role because while it did the job the HDMI output was limited to 1366x720 which was a bit low for my liking, but it will be perfect for the Axpert monitor role.

Yes but it is not a requirement for it to work in the monitor role.

The mini-pc draws abound 18w with Watchpower and Teamviewer running - I don't have ICC yet but don't expect much difference.
