October 12, 20223 yr Hello I use a Sonoff Mini device, connected to the Normally Open side of a 220V relay in a db-box. The coil of the relay is connected through a db-switch to Eskom power. The Sonoff mini I have connected to the power supplied by my inverter, so it is always on. So basically, when the Eskom power is on, the Sonoff sends the notification, and when loadshedding starts I get the notification for Ewelink/IFTTT and can then for instance switch off my pool pump. Problem is, sometimes the Sonoff gets out of sync, because the Eskom power fluctuates and it switches on and off every three seconds or so, or at least that is what I believe is causing it. Other times it can go for days without any issue. I was thinking of adding a power filter to "clean-up" the source (Eskom) power, but I am not too sure of how to continue. Any suggestions or maybe a consumer component I can purchase and add, or do I need to skill up on resistors and capacitors? Thanks
October 19, 20223 yr Hi All you need to do is just go into the settings of the Sonoff mini and change the trigger mode into follow mode and it should solve the problem. If it doesn’t solve the problem there could be a few other configurations we can gladly run through. There is also other causes i.e. if the inverter runs flat or is switching the load's and Eskom does load shedding or inverter is going to bypass and does not switch back quick enough creating power interruption depending on the invertor. We been testing and making small changes to the Loadshedder and have a hit rate of 99 out of a 100 on the current version v4 of the Loadshedder. Welcome to give me a call 0823793860 and we can go over some of the setting if the above does not solve the problem. We have it at the point that it will sync itself back into the correct state after one Eskom shedding cycle. Aleks

A little Loadshed detector they stiched together,has a open/shut mechanism on the grid circuit,and the inverter/backup circuit handles the brains and wifi Good goodies to use to "shut off" big loads on backup power
