October 30, 20223 yr Hi all I am having a problem after commissiong a brand new Solar System, whereby everything works but the City of Johannesburg (COJ) meter which is a Hexing HXE310-P meter is going into temper mode; disconnecting me from grid power permanently. I am assuming that this meter is programmed to not allow me to feed back to grid. Questions: 1. What setting must be set on Deye 12 Kw inverter so that no electricity gets exported to grid? 2. How to I get this Hexing HXE310-P out of temper mode; I have disconnected power to it but it appears to have backup battery; and and this is a post paid meter with COJ so not keypad was supplied with it.

Just look under the inverter section and you will find the screens how to prevent export and to always draw at least 50W. Also shown in the installation manual.

It seems one needs to be ultra careful about connecting any inverter with grid feed potential with the HXE310-P meter. If it trips there seems to be no way of resetting it short of getting City Power to reset. How did you get the problem solved?
November 27, 20223 yr The magic trick is to make sure the CT coil is pointed the correct way ( must point towards the Inverter on the L1, L2, L3) & the export must be set to zero Export & 20W set. This will prevent all these issues. The main reason is that there are ppl that actually do meter tamper & of course it's the council looking after their property. Here is the page that helps to get the settings correct. Export must be set to zero. Sell power must be unticked. This is just the menu setting for illustrative purposes.
