November 3, 20223 yr Currently we have on our north facing roof 15 panels canadian solar of 375 watt=5,6 kw, in connection with a goodwe inverter of 5 kw. we also have a nice western orientated roof and theoretically we can add there 10 panels of 460 watt. If we do that we need to replace the goodwe inverter with a larger one: sunsynk or victron. But: if we do so, The total amount of solar produce is more then 8 kw? I can bring the exess power we produce back to the net and we get a credit of 0,7 randcent per kw.. Q: will that work? sunsynk or victron? resell value of the goodwe inverter? Is the app from sunsynk good? Thx for the help! ronald
November 3, 20223 yr Do you live in Cape Town when they are allow grid feed in? Are you in Belgium? Which model goodwe do you have and how old is it, there is a classifieds template that help provide all the information needed to determine a fair price. Why are you upgrading, it sounds like it still working fine and it's most likely a true hybrid. Edited November 3, 20223 yr by Buyeye
November 3, 20223 yr You can stay with Goodwe, same price as Sunsync, but it uses HV batteries... Goodwe 8.6kW 1 phase hybrid inverter, 4 MPPT, HV battery - Battery24

I'm in Johannesburg & can resell at a similar rate, but there are is an upfront cost and also a monthly flat fee that have persuaded me that it's not worth my while. In COJ these costs are 1) installation of a two-way meter at the property owner's expense 2) about R700 a month in flat fees as part of the reseller's tariff. NB! I was on pre-paid electricity before I installed solar. On that tariff we pay more per kwh, but there are no monthly flat fees, and so there's a worthwhile saving. But if I'd remained on the default post-paid tariff, I'd have the R700 odd in flat fees anyway, and so then the reseller's tariff might be more attractive. So it would depend on what tariff you are on at present, and the reseller's tariff and any requirements that you must meet. Edited November 4, 20223 yr by Bobster. clarity
