Hi Everyone, best is to report all thier various Google ads. Click on the three dots next to the ad then report as scam. The more reports the better the chance Google will react. Those who lost money should approached Carte Blanche, juicy one for them.

Seems that's only applicable on paid/promoted google ads. We should have a pinned fraudulent sites post.

Hi

i am sure that solar-origin.co.za is a scam site. Their VAT number is invalid as per the SARS search.

How does one go about taking then down, I almost paid R65k for batteries.

A good place to start is to open a case of fraud at your local police station. Take the SARS VAT number fraud along as evidence.

solar-origin is the same as jpsolar; you can easily confirm that by looking at the relevant "about us" pages and scrolling down to the "team" photos.

Good day everybody

So it has come to my attention that someone is scamming people using my company name JP Sonkrag. The website www.jpsolarsupplies.co.za is a fraudulent website and we are NOT affiliated with it. Our site is not yet built as i only reserved  the name. We only have an Instagram & Facebook at the moment

Another update on this company:

I did a search on the company registration number on their quote and the result is attached!

I see that, all the same findings.

Is there a way to bring this to the attention of the broader solar public before these guys scam any more people?

Good day

Everyone. My name is Joy and i am a co-owner of JP Sonkrag. We unfortunately are not the owners of the website jpsolarsupplies. They have used our name and a domain with a name similar to ours. Our webpage is still under development. My sincerest apologies to anyone who has been scammed. We only currently have an Instagram & Facebook page. I have done an affidavit to that effect

Hi all, has anyone had experience ordering components from JP Sonkrag https://jpsolarsuppliers.co.za/ ? Pricing is competitive and the site has good customer feedback. Any steer would much appreciate.

Even a warehouse operation like Inverter-Warehouse allows me to go there, get what I want (if they have it) and pay right there.
Too many out there that brag about their warehouses in different locations with no provisioning to get the product and pay them. 🤨

Whilst on the subject of dubious (questionable) traders, has anyone actually bought from one of these two outlets?

I would lodge a dispute to see if you can reclaim the fraudulent domain:

https://www.domaindisputes.co.za/

I have logged a complaint but the issue is that their domain name is not my name; they just use my name on their page. Also since they have used Thyme bank it requires an ID number only to open account; so they could have used a random ID number

Don't get caught.

I'm sure that is also a scam deluxe sasolarsuppliers.co.za

Here is another online only website.
Anyone have any further info or dealt with them?

This website is run by Technological Innovations Solar sole trader  based in South Africa trading as Techinnovations and with registration number 7910255983085 and Kenneth Mashifana Makunyane Owner(s)).

Registration number checks out, but their online pricing is higher than other trusted sites, so not sure what their deal would be.
