EASUN SMX II modbus protocol ?

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,
in order to integrate my easun smxII inverter into node red in modbus rs485 protocol, I will need the modus rs485 protocol manual for this inverter.
Anyone have this available?
I found a lot of manuals but none that matches mine.
I manage to sniff the data that passes between the inverter and the software provided by easun (ipower-net) but with the protocol manual it would be much simpler.

For example, to obtain a data flow equivalent to QPIGS in rs232, I run the command 01 03 02 04 00 1f 44 7b and the inverter responds:
01 03 3E 00 03 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 03 00 00 00 00 50 0A 01 01 01 0C 16 13 00 00 00 04 00 00 10 31 08 98 00 00 13 88 08 A6 00 00 13 88 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 01 00 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 01 33 01 56 01 f4

I managed to guess some data but not all...

Thanks in advance everyone

i had found this link but no at first sight it does not correspond

Well, the thread has inside the ModBus protocol used by the SMG II inverter. The command that you posted matches the ones in the protocol. Have a look.

01 03 02 04 00 1f 44 7b

01 (Device Address)

03 (Register content query)

02 04 (Register Address 0x0204 - 516 decimal, but this one is not documented in the pdf... strange)

00 1f (a number of 0x1F bytes)

44 7b (CRC16)

Hello All,

When i send the model version reqest (0103000C0008840F) get back the following answer: E3 00 01 03 10 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 E4 59.

Same with the SW/HW version (010300140004040D):1F 01 03 08 02 97 00 C9 00 C8 00 00 AF 29

So it seem so to be, that the response is correct, the CRC is OK, but the data is uninterpretable. Tha actual documentatiopn, which i use: SRNE_MODBUS PROTOCOL. I try to us the addresses according to SMG II 5KPRS232 V1.0 (4).pdf (start from dez 100), but ther is no response.

The Inverter: EASUN SMX-II 3,6kW; APP SW version:6.63, Bootloader:2.01

Any idea?

Thanks in advance!
