Need firmware DSP for iSolar smw 11kw twin

Featured Replies

  • hi,

I have problem with inverter 11kw, no communication with pylontech, i solve by write firmware 90.06 BUT now inverter show in aplication only 8kw becouse this firmware is for MAX 8kw.

I think need firmware for 11kw inverter of voltronic

iGrid smw 11kw twin

Are you sure it's an iGrid? I thought all those were on-grid (grid tie and capable of export); 90.06 is for an Axpert which is off-grid (non grid-tie, tries never to export).

Do you use the "twin" feature? That presumably has an extra (set of?) relay(s) that firmware for standard (non-twin. non-duplex) models won't have.

There is one 11 kW firmware that I'm aware of, on this very forum. But first, is yours a model with the removable display, or is it one with the newer colour display inside a round LED ring?

I may be able to patch this firmware for the 90 V PV problem. It seems to be plaguing all MAX models.

Edit: It may be that firmware for removable displays is the same as that for colour displays; firmware version numbers are so confusing.

Thi is Model:

This come to me with no communication with pylonytech. I try many version of display (MCU U2) no way to communication. After, i write DSP firmware for 8kw, now i have communication, but inverter show in application 8000W as model.

Original Vers was 64.03 for U1 and 38.04 for U2

Hi,

I have also same problem, where to find a removable display firmware for MPP Solar 11 Kw; purchased in march this year;n 150 A version, 2 PV inputs, one Output.

Current verions: 57.01 main; 112.14 secondary

Could you help me please? i would like to reward your refforts.

Many thanks!

Happy New Year! Wish you Luck, Health and Success!

Thank you very much for your post! I need it to solve 61 communication error;

I will try and return with feedback

Thank yooouuu!

Flash worked very well (used the cable with 1 kohm resistor hack on white wire)

Now i have 112.19! Watchpower certify this by version number, and it's kept 11 KW, version of Axpert Max 1 - MPP Solar 11kw)

I connected MPP Solar inverter with the Pylontech battery bank with cable ( 3-8; 5-7 pins) and now communication with battery works!

Thank you very much Coulomb for your valuable work!

and to Mihai for opening this topic :)

Did you try without the resistor first, and found that it didn't work or wasn't reliable? I'm trying to figure out whether to recommend this mod for others.

Removable is display, not solved yet

Sorry, your request fell into the cracks, mainly because I don't have any twin firmwares.

But it occurs to me that you'd be far better off with a non-twin 11 kW Max 1 main firmware than an 8 kW Max 1 main firmware.

What 8 kw main firmware did you put into it? That will tell us whether you have the '2809 or the '28066 DSP processor, and hence what 11 kW firmware would work for you.

Nope, directly with resistor, based on many references to it on internet / youtube; i did-it with resistor from start because I was afraid of stopping the process of flashing;

The only debate was related to the value of resistor; some people said 2k ohms or 3k ohms, others 1 k ohm; i gave credit to one company from Argentina, Solar Facil to their recommendation of 1 K ohm after i compare with others who said the same 1 K ohm.

I would worry about anything much over 1 kΩ, as it would start to slow down the edges, and potentially corrupt the signal.

Interesting to hear that it's a common problem. Thanks.

[ Edit: For my own and others interest, the above is Axpert Max E 11kW '2809 Twin firmware version 64.07 and removable display firmware version 38.06 for Axpert Max E Twin models. ]

Interesting. The display firmware for the Max 11kW twin appears to be the same as the one that comes with Axpert MKS IVs. So presumably, the 38.xx series must have provision for Twins.

Indeed, it has settings 60-62, which seem to pertain only to Twin models, setting voltage, SoC, or time thresholds for controlling the second output.

@mihaigsm2003

Multumesc

Does the firmware you attached in the post on this forum solve the problem with the Easun SMW Twin with the 90V ones? and if so, which firmware version will appear on the inverter? I now have version 00064.08 and it remains stuck on 90V in the morning

Thank you

The attached firmware referred to contains main firmware version 64.07 and display firmware version 38.06. Neither of these is the very latest, and I'm 99.5% sure that neither 64.07 or 64.08 have the "new" Voltronic code. So the MPPT bug remains, unless there is an even newer firmware that we haven't seen.
