December 5, 20223 yr I've noticed that the grid in Johannesburg constantly runs between 235v and 248v across the three phases. The inverter is set at 220v-3P, however there is a setting for 230v-3P. During load shedding, the inverter pushes out around 220v, which is a drop from the normal 235v that the grid runs at. It is advisable to change to the 230v-3P setting instead of the 220v-3P setting that it is currently on. The appliances will there see a negligible difference in voltage during loadshedding.

ZA grid code is up to 260V and disconnects to take place at over 260V.
July 8, 20233 yr Thanks. I’m in CT, grid voltage fluctuates between 230v and 250v. My “normal connect” high voltage is set at 265v. So are HV1, HV2, and HV3. Should I change all of these to 255v? “Reconnect” high voltage is set at 263v. Should this also be 255v? Over voltage is set at 260v.

It seems close enough to leave as is but may be other members can add. I would think to stay within the ZA grid code is the sweet spot. I don't know why one would want to exceed 260V. July 10, 20233 yr Author I have changed my inverter to output 230v-3p from the originally set 220v-3p. The voltage drop during loadshedding is not significant for the appliances. For example, a fan now does not noticeably slow down. My grid voltage at home, measured by the inverter, fluctuates between 235v and 245v. So the 230v-3ph on the inverter suits my application.
July 12, 20233 yr Author In my case the voltage drop during loadshedding was significant enough to notice a fan slow down. There are plus sides to using a lower voltage, e.g. at 220v all the appliances work however it uses a lower wattage. It means that the battery can last longer for appliances.
