For small solar systems, you want to downsize to something in the range of a 32" or 40" LCD with LED backlight, those run at a more reasonable 50W or so.

January 30, 20188 yr I have a 42" plasma I was given. I cannot say I have noticed that it is particularly power hungry. Then again it generally on late afternoon where we don't really notice its consumption.

No 2 ... any chance you have this type of battery? If so they are UPS batteries, about +-260 cycles, on standby on a UPS, about 5 years. On solar ... you are heading for new ones soon.
