December 8, 20178 yr My Axpert MKS 5KV gives to output when turned ON. HELP urgently needed. Problem started yesterday after cleaning cooling fans
February 18, 20188 yr Are you still having problems? how did you clean the cooling fans? What error does it give?

I'm sorry I just saw your reply; I packed up thin inverter and bought a new one; however, I desire to fix it now. On a GOOD Axpert 5K MKS inverter, when Battery Switch in turned ON (with the inverter switch in the OFF position, Mains Input = OFF & PV = OFF), the inverter should be "OFF" (with display OFF, and no relay actions); just like when a new inverter is installed for the first time. On mine, once you turn ON Battery Isolator switch ON (with inverter switch in OFF position), Inverter turns ON and Power Cycles ON-OFF-ON-OFF...... When Inverter switch is then turned ON, it no longer Power-Cycles, but there's no output.

All I think of is when you went to clean the fan, you took out some connectors and replaced them incorrectly. There are a pair of 4-pin JST connectors that are easy to get swapped; I think one goes to the display and one to the Solar Charge Controller. Any chance? But then I would expect to see nothing on the display. Any chance you disturbed or disconnected any other connector, perhaps to get better access to the fan?
June 18, 20197 yr How did you clean the fans out? Did you use a vacuum cleaner, if so at this time of year, with dry winter air they create a great deal of static which can cause damage to components on the board.

When Battery Isolator Switch is turned ON, and without turning ON the Power switch, the Inverter Power-Cycles as if the Soft switch is turned On-OFF-ON-OFF... When Soft Switch is now turned ON, Power-Cycling Stops, but there's no output from inverter. NOTE: PV Input and MAINS are disconnected. Thanks

I will check again and re-test the Inverter and update you.
June 19, 20197 yr Author Coulomb, Hi! I reassembled the inverter, rechecking the cables, and found that I swapped (mistakingly 🙄) the input & output cables; however, I DID NOT feed Mains into the input (which became OUTPUT 😌). So now, Inverter is OUTPUTting 230VAC, charging from PV array. But, the Powering-UP & Power-cycling, with the "Soft" Switch OFF is still a problem. Any thoughts?
