Hi

Can someone pleaee help explain the specs and which they'd recommend:

Option 1: 3KW 24V/60A Pure Sine Wave Hybrid Inverter - MUST

https://www.takealot.com/3kw-24v-60a-pure-sine-wave-hybrid-inverter-must/PLID92610683

Option 2: Must 3kw 50amp/mppt Solar Hybrid Inverter

https://www.takealot.com/must-3kw-50amp-mppt-solar-hybrid-inverter/PLID70978791

I can't work out which is better?

Is there another you'd maybe recommend in this price range?

Many thanks!

The cheaper inverter has a PWM solar charge controller. If you're ever planning to add solar panels, you should pay more and get an inverter with an MPPT solar charge controller for more efficient power generation.

If you only want to charge batteries from the grid for backup, then the cheaper inverter should do the same basic job.

For other options of this type of inverter you can also look at one of the Axpert inverters or one of the brands under which it gets sold like Mecer, RCT, Kodak, etc. Otherwise Growatt is an option.

Thanks!!! How many Solar panels can I connect to the second inverter? Do you have any you'd recommend?

Thanks

Here is the datasheet for the MUST Inverters. Note that there is a 3kW 24v and 48V model that they produce, although I have not seen the 48V model offered.

Not sure whether the Takealot model is the 24V or the 48V model as they don't disclose that. (PV18-3024VPM). You will need to check with them.
If it is the 24V model then it has a max 1500W solar input. It is available here as well. https://www.solarwaysuppliers.co.za/product/must-3kw-60amp-mppt-solar-hybrid-inverter/

Here is another option for a 3kW Inverter. The advantage of this one is the MPPT voltage range up to 450V and also up to 4000W of Solar charge. Your choice of Solar Panels is vast with these technical specs.

Have you ever bought from pvpower or solarwaysuppliers? Are they legit?

Also do you know anything about the SRNE as that looks good?

Some research is always advisable before buying or committing to a product, that applied as well before I bought my solar equipment. Nothing beats a lot of reading and research.  https://www.srnesolar.com/about-us
And yes, both of the companies are legit. I have not bought from them, but it is advisable to of course make contact with them and explore if you are able to purchase from a physical location.

Below another thread about people that did purchase there.
