Allop Posted February 14, 2018 Posted February 14, 2018 Please help! My Raspberry has crash because the feeder died - 24v voltage output.(fireworks!!!) I used a stepdown module from 24 to 5v. Anyway ... I need a new serial to make everithing work again. I use version 2.2.8 I have to pay for it again? Perhaps in the future license can be based on customer identification data? To avoid such situations.... Thank you! Quote
Sidewinder Posted February 14, 2018 Posted February 14, 2018 @Alin, No, you don't need to pay again. In my view, if you are replacing the RPi, you need to get a new license key. E-mail the new machine ID to the icc team. You can get the e-mail for support on http://www.iccsoftware.co.za. Quote
___ Posted February 14, 2018 Posted February 14, 2018 There is of course a way to fake the serial number of a pi and put the old one back in... but I'm not telling, and I only know by accident because I messed around in the guts of the system :-) Allop 1 Quote
