I have been playing around with a 5KW Axpert inverter and recently added 3KWp of Solar panels. The model doesn't have any ports to control with a Pi or Power Watch. Instead I wired in a WiFi Geyser Switch on each of the Inverter Input and Output circuit breakers. I set the inverter to Solar Priority. The WiFi geyser-switches measure KWHrs, so the daily 'OUT', minus the 'IN' is the Solar Yield (minus some battery and inverter losses). I also set the Inverter 'In' switch to turn OFF at 2am and ON at 8am, which drains the batteries enough to create enough space to avoid curtailing. We are in the final stage of testing of version 1.1.3 for the Pi. Those of you that are data or Emon freaks will just love this version. Every time I had a problem, Manie would ask me to send him a screen shot of the Cluster Info page. The inverter 1 and inverter 2 Return strings are displayed there. Just a bunch of numbers that meant nothing to me. Manie has now split those numbers up and put them in nice little boxes, so the figures now mean something. Not just that, the individual inverter data is also sent to Emon and opens up a whole host of monitoring possibilities. So I'm trying to get MQTT going on the Pi3. Started with Manie's image, and didn't realise that everything is already in place, and started to install mosquitto, mosquitto-clients & python-mosquitto, as per many help pages on google. After all that was done, no errors, but as soon as I try to subscribe or check status like "mosquitto_sub -h localhost -v -t "\$SYS/#" ", it reports "Error: Connection refused" Anybody have an idea where i went wrong..or do I just start over with new image?. Don't want to do that, as every time i restart pi, I loose that days info, as I'm not yet able to command pi to do a "save" of the current data - is that even possible…

Hi everyone, Newbie here - would appreciate some help and advice. I do not know a lot when it comes to Solar and need help accessing the energy produced and consumed by my solar system to optimise it's usage. I am attaching pictures of my setup - not sure what other information may be needed? Hello All, ICC "got stuck" overnight and had to reboot it this morning to get it working again. After the reboot, the Daily Totals for Grid KWH used and PV power generated are still showing yesterdays values. Is there a way to manually run the process that resets the daily totals to zero for the new day? Running version 2.8.8 and it seems to hand quite a lot lately.

I recently installed a second parallel Axpert and have the followingissue with ICC. ICC does not see the slave Axpert, not sure if I need USB for each inverter or only Master? If I plug USB - Pi both master and slave, then ICC does not see either. If I plug only master, it sees only master. I have selected Axpert 5kva Parallel, and then specified 2 inverters and saved setting in ICC. Tried restarting ICC and Pi, no joy.

Anybody have problems with this - great product with no balance values

Please help! My Raspberry has crash because the feeder died - 24v voltage output.(fireworks!!!) I used a stepdown module from 24 to 5v. Anyway ... I need a new serial to make everithing work again. I use version 2.2.8 I have to pay for it again? Perhaps in the future license can be based on customer identification data? To avoid such situations.... Thank you!

Manie has been busy. ICC now posting to local and Emoncms.org. With my sometimes unstable internet the ability to do both is great. I see on the update list that a Pi version 2 is available. That must be a major revision. Come Pi ICC users what does version 2 do?

My installation is described in the picture attached. I've an aXpert compatible inverter receiving power alternatively from grid and 9 pv 250w. It is also connected to a battery unit (24v UOPZS 1000A) My ICC/raspberry monitorizes the inverter and the Victron Battery Monitor connected to the battery unit. As reinforcement, I've 6 pv 250 cells connected to a MPPT 60A which is also connected to the battery unit (in paralell). This device has his own rs232 port and can be monitored using MPPTTracker software, but it is an independent measure. The MPPT 60A is not connected to the ICC and all the energy that it produces is not being registered by this software…

hoi, i had to reinstall emoncms because it didnt update anymore... (for some wierd reason) but now when i redid the feedlogs, it doesnt work... i want to + , the gridwattskwd and the loadwattskwd, but it doesnt go good... some one can see the error i did? seems to be ok for me..but its not.. in example the sum must be : 19.42 + 4.64 and thats not 4014.64 !!!! P.S. i did change the log to feed from position 1 - 2 - 3 ,nothing works

Hello I've burned ICC image on SD card. In spite an initial error reported in other topic, ICC works and shows information from inverter. However, when I'm trying to use emoncms site to see historical information, it doesn't show anything. Before logging succesfully in site, I could see input data but when I modify an input process to logging to feed data, after a while, it displays a "wait..." message that let me think that something gone wrong. In order to see if there is any problem, I check a modified input process and I noticethat log to feed doesn't work, it shows an error message "Feedid does not exists or was deleted". Not sure if this is a bug but I don't seem to be getting a separate reading for each of the inverter's PV inputs. Only "PV1" shows data (which is the total of both). However, the information on each inverter does show correctly separately in the "Cluster info" tab. Also "Battery Output Amps" fields don't seem to move from "0" either, when I know they are delivering power to the house. I know about the temperature probe issue for parallel inverters, which is running in another thread.

Not sure what might have caused this but I have had the ICC pi running for a few days now without problems but last night at some point overnight it stopped processing. It was set to change from grid to solar this morning but did not and it was not reading feeds although the threads seemed to be OK. I had to restart the pi to get it working again. On restart there is an error that seems to be a DB error from the message (in image). Also, it's not clear how it processes the different power outputs. I have the BMV connected as well as the inverters but it reads "grid power" total as a sum of solar generation and battery watts output to the load, which is incorrect (ple…

I have partially solved this now, with the help of @Manie who very kindly remoted in to help diagnose the issue of a "Database locked" error in ICC, but thought to post it in case anyone is experiencing the same problem or does in the future and to see if anyone can help to be able to boot directly into desktop without having to run a ssh session first. The "Database locked" error was due to duplicate instances of ICC running simultaneously.Turns out it was caused by the way vnc works on my Raspberry. I hadn't made any changes to the Jessie/ICC image that I installed. That is set up to boot into the desktop GUI, which automatically starts ICC. That is fine, but I am …
