Steve87
Hi Community, wanted to share another installation on here with an interesting story. Carried out the installation without a hitch as my electrician was drilling into the wall for the final trunking he hit a water pipe. He was on site quite late as it was loadshedding earlier in the day. This installation is in a complex that has a main water shut-off shared between 2 units. Needless to say this installation was a lot of fun. I must say that it's great to meet patient, humble people that still exist here in SA. My electrician was extremely deflated after a long day at work to have had such bad luck. Definitely invest in a stud detector. Will save you a red face & some bucks... Steve87
What was also of massive interest is how fast the Sunsynk product is evolving. It's really hard to keep up with the hardware changes. Now the BMS port is the only usable port for any new 5kW Sunsynk. Before one could use the Meter or dedicated RS485 port. Those days are over & I guess to save on costs. One RJ45 port Vs 2. Had to split ports with the BMS to get Solar Assistant metrics... mzezman, Jacques Ester and Scorp007 1

Still to this day the copper pipe with its ability to be soldered is magic. Look at the small and shallow hole to repair.
Bobster.
I note that you are now installing the eTower after some initial reservations.
