Posted May 19, 20232 yr Hi there I have some confusion that I would like to understand before going ahead with the purchase. So according to the sunsynk spec sheet the mppts of the 12kw is capable of 800vdc ( I'm only looking to use about 450v per mppt) The strings are : 2 + 1 In my understanding the first mppt which has a double string connection would parallel the array internally And the second mppt is just a single string. My question is can I use the first mppt as just a single string to keep my voltage up on that string, instead of using it as a two string with the drop in voltage due to it being paralleled internally... the reason being I want to keep the voltage of both mppts equal. Would that cause any problems if I don't use the first mppt as a 2 string? I want my array to both run at 450v So mppt1 450v Mppt2 450v Hopefully someone could answer my doubts and questions thanks.

Yes you can (main thing to remember is NOT to go over max voltage) 4 hours ago, huzechothia said: Would that cause any problems if I don't use the first mppt as a 2 string? No

Is that correct?
