April 2, 20242 yr Doesn't work with my VM4 5600W (Not the TWIN version). After upgrade the display test itself while booting and after the countdown it goes black with Error 32. Main U1: 61.64 (don't know if does this have anything). VMIV 3.6K&5.6K_Ver61.64.7z

Error 32 still appearing after flashing the Remote Panel mcu.hex I really would try to downgrade the U1 to original 61.01 (instead of 61.64) but I cannot find that version. @coulomb do you have the 61.01? Or you know a way to contact Voltronic in order to ask the firmware packages for that version (VM4 5648GK) ? Thank you

Voltronic never talk to mere owners, they only talk to their customers (the resellers). It's up to the reseller to support the product, though the resellers can ask Voltronic for specific firmware updates. Edited April 3, 20242 yr by Coulomb

But it isn't working on my device and I don't know why. Which version is your U1 (main CPU/DSP) Firmware? Thank you.

With the 61.64 the 22.11 still works. I think the issue is this: the 61.64 version is compatible with 22.11 but not with the 22.20. So: 61.01 with 22.11 is OK 61.64 with 22.11 is OK 61.64 with 22.20 is NOT OK. I don't have the 61.01 to test it with 22.20 and understand if it is working or not. I will try with 61.03 previously sent by @Coulomb. Thank you again. Edited April 25, 20242 yr by giangel84

When you say that they are not compatible, do you mean that you just get warning code (61 from memory?), or you just don't get SoC% for settings 12,13, and 29?

No, I mean that I get warning code 32 after flashing the 22.20. I flashed the Main CPU from 61.01 to 61.64 precisely to get settings 12,13 working with SoC%, instead of voltages. However the vendor sent me both packages (61.64 and 22.20), and he told me that I should have to upload both, Main CPU first and then Remote Display. So I did the upgrade of Main CPU from 61.0.1 to 61.64, after restart the display seems working, but I not checked if the 12/13 settings was already to SoC%, I just followed the vendor instructions, then I performed the Remote display too, from 22.11 to 22.20, but after restart I got the error 32. Hope it is clear now I'm going to try the 61.03...I'll update you soon. Thank you!
April 24, 20242 yr Hi @Coulomb Sorry for the late, I had a lot of issues with my job. Meanwhile I changed my inverter with a new one (I bought an MKS TWIN IV 6KW). Only today I had time to try the 61.03, and surprise: it's working! Obviously params 12/13 still work as voltage "breakpoints". But at least is working such as with 61.01 version. Then my VM IV inverter is come back alive, and moreover it work with 22.20 and also with 22.21 (tested). I have to thanks to you million of times! So I can update my list: 61.01 with 22.11 is OK 61.01 with 22.20 or 22.21 not tested is OK (tested by usr023) 61.03 with 22.20 is OK 61.03 with 22.21 is OK 61.64 with 22.11 is OK 61.64 with 22.20 is NOT OK The Italian vendor still saying that 61.64 with 22.20 should work, I think my inverter was built with strange cpu chipset. I will try to dismount it and check one more time, in order to get more informations about. Thanks! Edited April 24, 20242 yr by giangel84

(except for the 61.03 version previously uploaded by @Coulomb on this thread) Or if you have other display firmware version, like the original 22.11. It can be useful for others to test with the same issues I have encountered. I would to understand if I have a corrupted version of this 61.64. Many thanks! Edited April 24, 20242 yr by giangel84

8 hours ago, giangel84 said: I don't have 61.01. This version was included when I bought the inverter. I just updated the 61.03+22.21. April 25, 20242 yr Today the Italian vendor sent a newer firmware version for VM IV, the 61.65 This version works perfectly with 22.21 and it has the 12/13 params working as SoC, instead of voltages. Hope this can be helpful for others! VMIV_Ver61.65.7z

May 5, 20242 yr Hello, good morning and thank you for sharing the VM IV_61.65 firmware, it was actually tested yesterday together with 22.21 of the remote panel and no errors, everything started correctly My axpert is barely a month old and came with the u1-61.01 and the u2-30.07 I have had it this month with the U1-61.03 and the U2-22.21 Right now it is with U1-61.65 (SOC parameters ok) and U2-39.16 downloaded from the following link and also working ok https://forums.aeva.asn.au/download/file.php?id=6686 Above all, I was looking for a version of the U2 that was superior to the one mine came from the factory and I found that
May 6, 20242 yr 61.03 is 5 months more recent (July 2023) than 61.65, so you might want to settle on that one. The 61.6x and above seem to be more experimental, and the 61.0x seem to be more "release". Edited May 6, 20242 yr by Coulomb
May 6, 20242 yr Thanks Coulomb, I think I understand what you mean about official and experimental versions, what I have tried, v61.03 with remote panel version 22.21 does not have parameters 12 and 13 in SOC% and version 39.16 (I was looking for one as similar as possible to the 30.07 that it came with when I bought it) it does not work in v61.03, error 32 appears Edited May 6, 20242 yr by nanev
May 6, 20242 yr The truth is that I started testing various versions of U1 and U2 due to the issue of SOC% parameters and something else that caught my attention, I previously had a VMiii at 24V and when I put the firmware that I downloaded from this forum on it, I solved that the fans were always running, in this 48v VM4 with any of the firmware mentioned, they vary in speed depending on how the equipment works, but they are always on, they are never stopped, even if I disconnected panel input and consumption
May 7, 20242 yr 14 hours ago, nanev said: what I have tried, v61.03 with remote panel version 22.21 does not have parameters 12 and 13 in SOC% Oh, I missed that. Weird. Well, you might as well run 61.65 then, as it does support SoC% for the three relevant settings. I wonder if the SoC% thing is still considered "experimental". It seems like a no-brainer to me. Edited May 7, 20242 yr by Coulomb
May 8, 20242 yr Today I discovered another new thing with these firmware installed, it turns out that the panel reports L1 in the current output, so I understand that this version of U2 is really for the model that has two AC outputs, what I don't understand is how it works in this equipment and especially how the display has the symbols L1 and L2 from the factory if it only has one AC output
