I got my solar panles installed today, mad rush to clean the roof and paint but we are good to go, got a tree to trim but overall very happy with the install and level to detail.

I wanted to find out, would it be possible to push another two panels on my system. Currently have 6 panels per string but have space for 1 more panel per string making it 7 per string.

Inverter : Sunsynk 5kW

Panels : Jinko ( JKM475M-7RL3-V), Max Power 475W, VMP 43.38V, Imp 10.95A, Voc 52.24V, Inc 11.77A, Max Voltage 1500VDC

SS 5KW inverter specs:

• Solar Input
  Max power input – 6500W
  Max V DC input – 370V (100V~500V)
  Max current input – 13A + 13A
  MPPTs – 2
  MPPT Range – 125~425V

The 500V max input should not be exceeded under any circumstances, and considering safety margins, aim for max 450V for planning purposes.

Divide 450V by the VoC spec of your panels if connected in series  = 8 panels per string should be good and safe (450/52.24). In fact 7 versus 6 panels per string already brings you closer to what I understand is the 370V sweet spot. 9 panels might even be possible but perhaps sailing a bit close to the wind then.
