June 27, 20233 yr Hi, 5kw sunsynk inverter 2X 5.32 sunsynk batteries So i am trying to identify the cause here, I get random disconnects at night when i discharge my batteries then reconnects after the set 60 seconds, I have checked grid stability is not to blame here, grid is perfectly stable before every disconnect, It does not happen when i have selected charge from grid in my system settings, but i dont want dirty Eskom power in my batteries so i leave this off. Only charge from solar. I have a feeling its got something to do with my battery settings, see below, let me know if this is correct. The grid start in particular: Another theory is its because my CT coil is 25 meters away but i don't think a CT coil reading will disconnect the grid, otherwise it is working and is connected the right way arround. June 28, 20233 yr Random 2c. More questions than answers. Is there a grid connected and can one see the grid power charted here as well? Reason I ask is, the inverter is basically doing what you're asking it to do according to your time-of-use settings. At 03:09 the SOC is at 45%, which is below the minimum 60% SOC in Time 1. At 17:05 during Time 6, the battery power is at 1851W, which is above the 1000W system limit you've set for that time. Then basically in the presence of the grid, as you are not choosing to charge from grid, the inverter is supposed to stop using the battery, and transfer some or all the load to the grid. What's the Zero Export Power setting here? Typically around 20W, all I see though is that the flow through the CT coil is zero. Is the CT coil definitely working? Is it ever showing a value other than 0? Are there any faults logged in the inverter? Especially wondering about AC faults. Do you have a smart meter that is subject to load reduction from the grid? Taking wild guesses here, but that sort of throttling of grid power could throw out your TOU power limit settings. Might be one has to use the peak shaving feature to counteract that action. But okay, I might be getting ahead of myself here. @Scorp007 - Could use a 2nd opinion seblief.

The grid is connected yes With those settings the uses the battery to help the grid up to the SOC specified then it stops using the battery until the next time slot, it works perfect if i have charge enabled for those times but if i use it like that and have load shedding my battery drops below and then fills my battery's with disgusting Eskom power. CT is definitely working only showing 0 because the inverter gets disconnected from the grid (The problem im having) No faults on the inverter We have a normal meter, dont think there is anything smart about it

Based on 1 point that was raised namely the max output during time slots. Perhaps try using 4kw for each slot let's see if this helps the disconnects. Not sure how you can fill the battery with disgusting Eskom during LS? So we are still hunting around the problem. A graph showing the power used from inverter say 15h to 18h yesterday when the disconnect took place. Add the battery SOC. Although provided the graph is a bit busy with so many values shown.
September 13, 20241 yr I have 2 x 12kw inverters in parralel. had the same problem, and replaced the communication cable between the inverters and my problem were solfed. im not sure if everyone will have the same solution. but just want to share
