July 10, 20232 yr Hi All, I have an Axpert King 5 kW with a very tired set of agm batteries. I want to get a lithium battery that will communicate with the inverter. The manual and settings refer to pylontech. Does anybody have experience with what batteries are compatible (i.e. communicate properly) with the King. Main firmware version: 71.90 My options are Hubble AM2, Greenrich UP5000, Kodak BL5, Pylontech US3000, Pylontech UP5000 Any advice would be most welcome. Thanks - Rob
July 10, 20232 yr Dyness battery modules communicate with Voltronic Power inverters with removable displays including Axpert King BX51100 and B51100 5.12Vdc 51.2kWh 100Ah are two such examples. See excerpt below from the Dyness B51100 User Manual on how to set the battery DIP switch to communicate with Voltronic inverters. Edited July 10, 20232 yr by Kilowatt Power

July 18, 20232 yr Author I notice that Segen Solar have put out a notice saying that the newer Pylontech batteries do not currently work with the Kodak inverters (Axpert) and need to be treated as dumb batteries. Kodak User settings.pdf
July 18, 20232 yr Good afternoon Rob I have the Kodak Max 7.2Kw units which are communicating with the Greenrich 3.686KWh LiFePO4 batteries via the RS485 cable which I received with the inverters. The cable pinout for the Kodak inverter are Pin 3: RS485B, Pin 4: RS485A on the inverter and Pin 7: RS485A, Pin 8: RS485B on the battery. Have a look at, Gustav du Plessis puts it all in this post One of the reasons why I chose the Greenrich batteries are that you can connect your own battery cables to the battery and are therefore not bound to a specific cable like those used with the Pylontech and those type of batteries.
