July 24, 20233 yr I have been doing some research and need to confirm if my solar panel calculations are correct. I have a SRNE 3kw hybrid inverter HF2430S60-100. The inverter supports the following pv input. 1600w max input. Max open voltage 100v. Max input current 40A. I have 6 x 350w panels with the following specs. VOC (45.1). ISC(9.88). Max fuse rating 20A. With my calculation i have determined i can connect my panels in series parallel 2S3P where two panels are connected in series and three sets of two panels are connected in parallel. According to what i'm calculating my max voltage will be 90.2 and max amps will be 29.64 which both is within the limits of the controller. I need to confirm if i am correct. Your assistance will be appreciated.
July 24, 20233 yr Sounds just about right with the 2S3P Your 20 amp fuse may be a bit on the low side as your array amps is 29.64A

July 24, 20233 yr Is your fuse the inline MC4 at 20A and would you be fusing each string individually, or if using a branch "Y" piece rather on the input to the combiner box? Edit: I see you have just responded, clarifying Edited July 24, 20233 yr by Garthox

This will definitely work however by what I can see you only having two strings by having 2s3p which means each parallel connection will require an inline fuse at your branch connector.

Yes thanks for the input. I do have a branch connector and will look into the inline fuses.
