September 1, 20233 yr Hi all - I hope this is the correct section to post in. My current setup is a 5kw Sunsynk with 2 x Dyness 4.8kw batteries. Our grid connection is awaiting repair from Ekurhuleni (we suspect an issue in the outside box) as we are the only house in the street which doesn't have power. Grid went down with loadshedding on Wednesday and didn't come back - fortunately we have solar and backup batteries. Does anyone have a simple explanation for connecting a generator to the gen aux port on the 5kw Sunsynk - my installer is coming around on Monday to do this but I want a basic understanding of the process so I can follow along with what he does. What we aim to achieve is if the batteries are low is to simply manually start the generator (an 8kw genny) and have it charge the batteries and supply the load. We don't want any auto on / off switches etc. Thanks!

September 18, 20232 yr i have a 40kw 3 phase generator…can i run it into deye 20kw 3 phase…my gennie is connected to house directly… eg eskom to gennie to house..
