Putting HA-02 through Amp meter

Featured Replies

I have finally routed my HA-02 through my Volt / Amp meters...(Take no notice of the battery voltage variance on no.2. That battery is on its way out and I am waiting for a new one.)

The amps look a bit low though?

The currents moved are usually very small.

But we're told these devices can move up to 2A (or something like that)? That one battery is clearly quite low... I'd expect to see more than 130mA.

I think the Victron balancers can move up to 700mA, and I'm pretty sure they move that much when they activate.

Can move up to 10A.

Then I'd expect it to move up to 10A trying to lift that low battery. Maybe marketing was involved and it isn't really 10A, maybe that's a theoretical total or something :-)
