  1. Wishing for a full recovery.
  2. True. I bought 2 x 1000W trolleys for my Mom for backup 2 years ago. First thing I did was remove the Gel batteries and replace them with 8 x Lithium cells each (200Ah). Both running on cheap Daly BMS.
  3. My 280Ah Apexium with Seplos bms drifted to 156mv over a year at the extreme top of the charging cycle. I decided to do something about it this weekend and charged the 2 lagging cells with a XY-SK80. It only took a few hours to almost bring it in line again.... Seems the drift was quite small, looking at the time it took to sort out.
  4. Yes, Sunsynk sent me a new card which I replaced and sent them the old one back. They made it clear that the onus was on me to replace it correctly.
  5. And today it is back with a Stage 6 bang.....
  6. I finally took the plunge and installed a 5.4kW ITS heat pump. Seeing the daily load drop by approx: 6kWh is a pleasure. This 6kWh is the amount of grid power that I used to have to buy in every day.

Apologies bud. This is the correct version. Pace BMS - Google Drive

    Try protocol 12

I purchased the Pace RS232 USB to RJ11 cable from SolarAssistant, Loaded BMS Tools HS2.03 (Any PBMS Tools software works) The ethernet cable used for master and slave is a normal straight-through network cable.

Yep, I actually know that. I should have stated that the Fivestar and Sunmagic batteries are made by the same manufacturer. (rumoured to be Felicity solar)

Thanks for this info. I purchased 2 cheap SunMagic 150Ah batteries to test out, and apparently, they are also manufactured by FiveStar. Though the booklet that came with is exactly the same as the Felicity Solar battery, it actually has a Pace bms in. After much battling using the Felicity BMS wiring, I wired up using the Pace, and voila.....all good.
  13. I have an 8kW Deye On low load it also stays on about 51/53W. I will check on the higher loads later today.
  14. There is space for them on the sides, depends on how many breakers you add on the centre row. I omitted the Grid neutral bar as there was not enough space. If I recall correctly, I had to add 1 extra neutral bar. I had to install my geyser CBI Astute timer on the bottom row as I had run out of space on top.
  15. This is the diagram I used, with the exception that I took out the bottom SPD and installed it on my inverter Output breaker to the essentials.
  16. I got this one from LiveStainable. Good price as well. Eurolux DB Board Plastic Flush TXM-36P – LiveStainable
  17. Easiest by far is mounting a surface mount over the old flush one. I did this and am chuffed with the results.. (Though my surface mount turned out to be a flush mount....I ordered the incorrect one, but it still looks good)
  18. This is much better than sending in the whole inverter. Did you follow the Sunsynk RMA instructions online or contact them another way? My 5kW has the same problem after a lightning strike.
  19. Same thing happened to my Narada's a few years ago. 3 of them knocked out by a lightning strike. I replaced the bms with Ant and JBD. Of the two, the JBD is definitely the better one. All the batteries are still running with no problems.
  20. I would recommend that you use pbix example in the link that I posted and test your protocols on the Modpoll Utility.
  21. I really enjoy your persistence with this... Here is a link from someone that reads the Sol-Ark/ Sunsynk/ Deye inverters from the modbus. (All the same inverter) GitHub - pbix/HA-solark-PV: Home Assistant integration for the SolArk PV Inverter He is using the 12kw version, so I am sure you can use @slipx protocol for yours.
  22. The past couple weeks have been terrible as far as solar production is concerned. Yesterday has been the best this year so far. Edit: I must really slow down and read the title.....This is not in Durban, but in Mpumalanga
  23. I am sure this has been discussed before, but for the life of me I cannot find it. I noticed awhile back that the daily total load consumption (mbus #084) is +-3.5kwh lower than actual total consumption. I presume that this has to do with losses and self-consumption. The energy dashboard in home assistant uses the correct formula for total house consumption. Viz. (Solar power + battery discharge + grid import - battery charge) This will give your total household consumption with everything factored in.
