You must use the battery volts for the calculation, not the mppt. 203/4 = 50.75V (battery volts at the time)

I had the same inverter as you and it charged my 4 x Lithium batteries with no problems. As long as the settings for "Bulk and Float" are close together as per the Lithium charging recommendation.

You need to install the "Prolific USB-to-Serial" driver and not the "USB-serial CH340".

The best definition for me as to what a Hybrid inverter is, is that it can work with or without batteries. While the Victron cannot work without batteries a Sunsynk can.

I am not comparing it to a Sunsynk? I reckon that the Sunsynk is a great inverter. Look at the statement that was made then you may comment again.

I have simulated the "My Solar+Battery" app using the normal emoncms feeds and added colour Led,s to see what is feeding what in realtime. The calculations are slightly off due to the self consumption of the inverter.

Well for a poorly made battery I must say that it is performing outstanding in tests that are underway for the past 4 years in Australia. It is keeping up and even surpassing top battery brands. Those Prismatic cells used in the pylontechs are specially designed by themselves, and are of a superior quality to many of the plastic square lifepo4 case cells.

Thank you so much for mentioning this problem. I installed a Multiplus, 2 x MPPT and a BMV702 2 months ago, loaded ESS onto a RPI and thought I was good to go, well I can tell you the ESS did not perform as I thought it should, and having no previous experience with it I could not articulate my problem properly. The Min Soc, Scheduled Charge and just about everything else did not work properly. I eventually loaded node red and controlled the Multi this way. After reading this post I disconnected the BMV and everything is now working the way I imagined it should. It would appear that the BMV is over-riding the system.

My understanding is that the 2 x 335w will pull down the 7 x 405w to 335w. I have read that the panels will de-rate to the lowest Volts/Amps of the string.

You are getting a low battery alarm and it would appear that your battery is not setup correctly. There is no way that 45.5 volt on a lithium battery gives an 81% SOC. Did you enter the correct values of the Revov batteries into the BMV? Running your batteries down to 41 volts is going to kill them in a short period.

Absolutely. I have a Narada that blew its BMS with a lightning strike last year, replaced it with a "Daly without comms". All still running fine. I am running 4 of them, first to busbars and then to inverter.

It is capable of running your whole house with the proper planning and due diligence by the occupants of the household. I had a 5kVa running for 3 years where we did not even know when the grid power was off most of the time. I did however split my DB into 2 and ran the whole house except for air-con, oven and back-up electric geyser. The 5kVa can handle these other loads as well, but the problem arises when you run the appliances concurrently. If you run the oven and the missus switches on the kettle, then the inverter would change over to grid feed. The funny thing is that I now am running a 3kVa Multiplus and I am getting better effeciency than I did with my 5kVa due to the power assist function. I still have my DB split in 2, but whereas the air-con etc was connected to the grid on the 5kVa it is now the second output on my 3Kva....so during the day when my solar panels are putting out 3600W all the extra power is going to my second output. The multi can quite comfortably give an AC Load of +5000W during the day, blending all the supplies. It all comes down to proper planning and due diligence.

I purchased a RPI3 B premium kit from RS Components for R1440. My Multiplus and 2 x MPPT charge controllers running smoothly so far on Venus.

I also have the 2015 model and it does not have the feature settings for lithium batteries. I run mine on "User" settings through a BMV702 which works great. Fault code 57 indicates a "Current Sensor Failure".
