September 4, 20232 yr Hi, I have 4 100w panels that are wired to a PWM controller. I would like to add a 100A Dc volt amp display panel + Shunt resistor 100A 75mV FL-2 to measure the volts and amps from the panels to the charge controller. I have tried googling but could not find a schematic to connect the meter. Anybody able to assist please.
September 4, 20232 yr It should be identical to your diagram. You just replace the battery with the solar panels +/-

You just replace the battery with the solar panels +/- Here is what PowerUser is saying: I think the PV panels have to output less than 28V and I am not sure how they will like the startup voltage. One could put this in the battery loop because PWM current from the panels is the same as the battery charging current... although it might blow up.

September 5, 20232 yr Author Ok so I got the meter setup this morning. I have 4 100w panels connected and all seemed good for about an hour or so then the meter cut out. Think I might have blown it. When you want to use it for higher volts you must use the yellow and black wire that was not connected and wire it to a 9-18V separate Aux supply. For up to 60V and 100A you can try this meter which also accumulates Ah, kWh. Also keeps peak amps, peak Wh. These accumulated values can accumulate during the day and reset to zero when there is no power from the panel. Just one point. The Wh resets after about 580 and the Ah after 65 during the day.
