Ingo
I just had a Victron Quattro installed with Eskom power on AC2-In and a small generator on AC1-In. The generator is limited to 10A. Is it possible to disconnect AC2-Out when the generator is connected to my inverter? I know it disconnects when there is No AC input on either input but I don't want to kill the generator if a heavy load suddenly comes on while Eskom power is out and the generator is running. Any ideas?
___
You could do it with relay assistants. You'd need two. The first one drives the relay off if AC-1 is available, and the second will drive it on if AC-1 is unavailable, preferably after a small delay. Ingo
Excellent!! Exactly what I was looking for. I'll toy around once the system is fully operational.
___
Remember it evaluates the relay conditions from top to bottom and the last one that matches wins. So while it can be complex, just thinking it through logically usually gets you there.
Ingo
Thanks. Nothing like a bit of experimenting to get it right.
