September 11, 20232 yr Loadshedding started at 8pm & at 8.30pm the inverter/batteries went off. The inverter display is showing an F14 Dc_Overcurr_Fault error. Does anyone know what this is, why it happened & how I can fix it. After a really bad day, this was all I needed!
August 13Aug 13 In my limited knowledge, this indicates there was more load than the inverter was willing /able to supply (from batteries/PV), so it went into a protective fault (shutdown)."Overload trip" is what I would have called in Victron land.Just had the same thing happen to me today - in my case I BELIEVE it is because I have very conservative max discharge setting on my battery config (not even 0.5C) - and the load was just to much while the grid was disconnected.At least one random internet (FB, sorry) post seems to bear this out: https://www.facebook.com/groups/419156130163742/posts/957789892967027/This source sounds a bit more dramatic Edited August 13Aug 13 by demaniak
August 13Aug 13 @kathy , Depending on the version (5/8/10/12 kW etc) Inverter you have, it can trip with overload easily. No Grid and no PV (@20h30), so you inverter is very limited, even if your batteries can sustain your load. Just reduce the loads, the Inverter will reset itself. My 8 kW version can handle 6.4kW (128A from Battery), the 5 kW much less.
