December 9, 20232 yr Short answer no. Most welders run at about 50v at 100A you need 5000w plus a bit extra.

December 12, 20232 yr I have a 3kw meanwell ts3000 inverter, and I regularly weld at 100 amps, according to bmv data it draws 150 - 170A to strike a arc and between 90 and 100 when pooling the metal. its a 24v system. I wont weld for hours on end at a 100% duty cycle, do not think my equipment will survive that punishment.
