Honestly, I still think too much is made of this.

My favorite bud at V (starts with An...) , he did flip flops on this. Me, I have already lost a Phocos 100/30 MPPT due to heat ... just just within the warranty period still - supplier checked, nope, overheated, sorry, no replacement.

So it is a T-shirt thing.

Then I'm thinking, when some have paid more for a controller than what a 5kva Axpert goes for ... does one really want to go there when you can feel the thing is damn hot? :)

So I don't think too much is made of this, not when you have felt the heat, the local V representative and a 2 decades experienced installers tells me don't.

And what if a fan runs on them in summer ... have the watts, use it ... as it is only during peak times ito heat.

I'm moving the controller again soon seeing as I cannot use the Window mount (facepalm) again. Once inside, will check again.

Less I forget. I have connected the MPPT direct to the spare battery connectors inside the Multigrid. So much easier and simpler.

    Good luck sir.

  • @plonkster, @Jaco de Jongh How is this looking for a change in equipment? I know the battery bank is smaller, but the rest seems pretty decent

  • Just placed requested a quote for the 3 multiplus II's, they will only have stock in jan ... but it is a 9k saving so it is worth the wait
