January 29, 20242 yr Hi, After reviewing as many of the CFE5100 & 5kw Deye posts as I could find, I was unable to find anyone with the same issue as I am having. My completely off grid 5kw Deye, 2000W of panels & CFE5100 battery both work very well until the battery gets to 100%. Then, randomly, the battery will go into an error state and shut down - and inverter will then also shut off. If I am onsite, then I will reset the battery and introduce some additional load to drop the battery below 100% and then all works fine - until we get back to 100% battery. This battery error at 100% does not happen every time - it appears completely random but probably 75% of the time - I cannot discern any pattern. If I am not onsite, then the system will usually reboot itself after a while. I can only assume that the battery (and/or inverter?) are somehow not getting rid of the excess incoming solar. Anyone else have a similar setup to mine and seen this issue? Or managed to solve it? Any guidance hugely appreciated. Cheers S-gate
January 29, 20242 yr Author Hi @Buyeye - thanks for replying. I use Solar Assistant (see screenshot below) for remote monitoring and I understand it shows less detail than the actual battery BMS would. I tried (for hours) but was never able to get the CFE App to work. The info below is pretty sparse. I will have to try again and get the CFE app working - found a thread on it this morning. Screen below shows 2 situations where the battery went into error state and turned itself and inverter off. Edited January 29, 20242 yr by surfgate
January 29, 20242 yr Author An update on the above - I am hoping this info helps when one of the experts on the forum sees it: - The battery has now hit 100% and has not reset (yet) or gone into an error or showing F56 error on the inverter (yet) Question: When the battery hits 100% SOC, should the power and Current indicator not go to zero?

Lithum-based batteries will usually balance for a while after hitting 100% (my own battery pulls about 0.1C - 0.2C for up to 30 minutes) Check again in 30 minutes and let us now?
January 29, 20242 yr My neighbour had exactly the same issue with 4 CFE-5100S connected to a 8kw Deye. Leon from CFE came out to his house and updated the firmware on all 4 batteries. He also switched him over to the new Smart Energy Plat app. Have a look at this thread -> CFE - 5100s Batteries - The Final Showdown! Warning, it's not pretty! - Batteries - Power Forum - Renewable Energy Discussion. Leon left his local WhatsApp number. Inverter firmware was also updated at the time. I haven't heard him complaining again about the issue.

Thanks @JayMardern You 100% correct - the battery power & charging activity dropped way down. No errors yet - but I know its coming 😬

On the luxpower app, it shows 50A from 90% then 25A then 15A then 7A as it gets closer to 100% and eventually 0A.
January 17, 20251 yr Hello Everyone Have a luxpower 5kva inverter with two 100amp elfbulb batteries which have been working well for 14 months until late december then on the lcd screen the BMS anolog showed TCP failure . I have switched off batteries right away and have trying to figure out why TCP failure on BMS . Advice from factory has been hard. Question should the BMS be replaced. There is a scp fuse on bms board but where and Does Anyone had this happen to their Solar system Any advice would be appreciatted Regards Chris home Cowies Hill Pinetown [email protected]
