February 21, 20242 yr My 2019 Axpert 5KW inverter gave up the ghost a while ago with error 09 Fault code 09 means that when the Axpert attempted to pre-charge the 400 V bus, it failed to reach its target voltage in 15 seconds. The target voltage is usually battery voltage × 8 but always 336 V to 480 V and it can depend on grid voltage. That could be because failed capacitors or IGBTs are shorting the bus (either the inverter IGBTs or the high-side full-bridge of the DC-DC converter), or something failed in the soft-start circuit itself. Although I have replaced this unit with a SunSynk 8KW unit, I would like to have the Axpert repaired if cost effective. Any recommendations for someone in Cape Town or surrounds? That seems to be a warning indicator and not a fault. Battery equalization.
February 22, 20242 yr Author @Chris Louw Thank you so much. Changed the battery to old AGM's to test and everything works 100%. Will look again at configuring LifeP04 (S/w was previously updated to KettleKomp V74.40E in 2022) Any further updates available that you are aware of? What a win - now I can use it as a 48v battery charger from PV and AC
