I have a 2020 GW5048D-ES, I want to expand my system by adding a compatible Goodwe inverter in parallel to add additional PV strings. I'm located in Pretoria, and I'm willing to accept shipped items if I cannot collect them in person.

Are you saying that it is possible to parallel these units, or that it's possible after a certain revision?

It is not. The newer GW5000 has an additional communication port for parallel operation.

I am not an expert, but I have found this installation example elsewhere online.

The backup loads (and PV and batteries) are separate, though - so not actually parallel, I suppose.
Thinking about it; one could probably use any other inverter if multiple monitoring sites etc are not of concern?

"Household means others unhave to loads." How many inverters have that?
