February 20, 20197 yr Hi Guys, my query relates to a HYBRID SOLAR INVERTER 5000VA 48VDC WITH PV INPUT. I have installed & wired up the system to factory spec. Unit operated well but I do not get an PV input displayed on the LCD The dealer supplied only one 145 watt panel, will this work ? Thanks Gordon

A single 145 W panel sounds like a totally impractical sales gimmick.

There is one possible exception (though I am pretty sure I am just confusing things by mentioning this... so if it confuses you then forget that I said anything), and that is if you use a boost-converter type MPPT. Like this Ming He MPT-7210A. Interesting idea, but since 145W is so low anyway, the right answer is almost certainly to get more (or different) modules. Otherwise it is worse than a sales gimick. It's a downright scam.

It's a downright scam. I thouht the same, but... Even using a boost, it wouldn´t be enough to maintain quiescent draw with only one panel!
