3.7v battery. How much mAh?

Featured Replies

Hi

Just taken this battery out of a radio controlled car. Appearance of 2 AA sized batteries encased in plastic sleeve.

The label reads 14500/500 mAh 3.7 V

How do I interpret that mAh value?

Will try to upload an image if I can figure out how.

14500 is the physical size; 14mm diameter and 50mm in length as @P1000 said. Capacity; 500mAh exactly what it states; can deliver 500mA for 1 hour (or 250mA for 2 hours etc). 3.7V is the nominal voltage. On the sleeve there should be a part number. Google that number for a data sheet which will provide detailed technical specifications.
