Hithium cells

Featured Replies

Good day

Yes I received them.

I received them on the 25th of November. I was very impressed with the packaging. It was packaged in the original boxes and then everything was anclosed in a wooden crate. There was no damages to the crate and therefore the cells inside the boxes is in perfect condition. I have put the batteries together and cell voltages looks very good. I am trying now to get the JK PB2A16S-20P bms to talk to the Raspberry Pi on my system.

Except for the long wait for delivery which seems to be our customs fault I am very pleased with the service I received from this company in China. Minji was always professional and ready to help. I will buy from them again.

BJ vd Linde did you manage to get ICM to communicate with the JK-BMS. It took me a while as ICM showed the SOC data but none of the Sunsynk inverter data. I have a Sunsynk 5.5Kva and one needs a splitter cable for the RS485/CAN port. as well as 2 x RS485/USB cables. I got mine from Solar-assistant and the technical descriptions on their website is very good. The CAN cable I crimped myself following their instructions. After much fiddling I finally found that I did not set the port numbers for the inverter to ICM and once done all data was displayed. Unfortunately ICM only shows 15 cell voltages and reads the inverter's battery SOC for the System/Working Mode table. That SOC is totally wrong and useless. ICM displays the SOC of the battery correctly on the dashboards so it seems to have a bug or two. Sadly I saw a comment on the forum that Manie, the programmer, has passed away so I don't know where to turn for help other than alternative software. I did send ICC Software an e-mail and will see what happens.

No until now I could not get ICM to work with my JK bms. Some ICM versions have JK listed under their batteries but mine don't have it. I tried every protocol that I could that is available but could not get it working. I am running on inverter values at the moment but nothing displays correctly in ICM. The only values that I can use is the battery voltage and charge, discharge amperage as well as the Kw going in and out. With the voltage I am at least able to set the back to pv and grid values through ICM. The problem is that the back to grid voltage cannot be adjusted above 48v and that gives me 10% SOC on the batteries which is lower than what I would prefer but at leadt it is working. I looked around for alternative software but none comes close to ICM. If I were a coder maybe it would be another story but for me ICM was bought and used from the shelve and it worked veru good except now for the change to the JK bms. With Manie that passed and not knowing the future of the company I will try to buy a used ICM together with its pi that has the JK bms option and see if that works. But before 2031 I need to find another solution because then ICM licence stops there.
