Sc00bs
Hi Guys I am trying to help one of my neighbors with their inverter settings and I have noticed that they appear to be exporting power to the grid Sunsynk 12kw 3-phase inverters x 2 If I go onto the Sunsynk Website to Grid I see the following That looks like they are exporting 4kwh of power on that day. It looks like it is probably happening when their battery is full I have checked their system mode settings and they appear to be set correctly So, my questions are: 1. Am I reading correctly that their inverters are feeding back into the grid for some reason. 2. If so, how do we stop it from doing that as it looks like the settings are set correctly for 0 feedback into the grid. Any ideas?
Sc00bs
Have been speaking to Sunsynk and getting the firmware upgraded, apparently that may be the problem.

Sc00bs
Sunsynk updated the firmware but still feeding back into the grid. Is now coming up with a F41 and W31 Parallel comms issues, they have spoken to the installer and they are going to come and sort it out. Looks like it has been an issue since the site was installed as they have been feeding back into the grid for the last 18 months. The comms between the inverters was not working properly before the update but it wasn't reporting any errors as you could change work mode settings on one inverter and it did not update the settings on the slave. Chunks
Hi Scoobs, I’ve assisted with a similar situation. The problem was the installation of the CT clamps were on the wrong phases. Sc00bs
Just now, Chunks said: Hi Scoobs, I’ve assisted with a similar situation. Thanks for that @Chunks appreciate it I will speak to their installer and suggest that they check that they have the phases setup correctly. Sc00bs
@chunks , so the exporting of power has stopped. I am assuming that the installer changed the CT's as they were onsite and the feed back into the grid stopped. The inverters is however pulling power from the grid when it is not necessary. Yesterday for example, the batteries were @100% by 13:00 and PV production is throttled bac, there is still however a 500W load on the grid and that increases to 3.6kw @13:25 pretty much in time with the load increasing. Installer has said he thinks that there is some lightning damage and that the inverters need to be sent back to Sunsynk for repair. Just to confirm, there are 2 x 12kw Sunsynk inverters, wondering if this could could still be the Ct clamp issue.
Chunks
@Sc00bs can you please post all the settings screenshots. Then we can rule out a settings issue before it is sent for repairs.
Sc00bs
Sure, if there is anything else you need let me know Work Mode all soc's at 20% Battery Settings Grid Settings Advanced Settings
Sc00bs
Should be feeding 40W in from the grid the way I see it.
Sc00bs
@Chunks Switched the settings from "Zero Export - Limit to load only" to " Limited to Home" and it is working perfectly now so I am assuming that the CT Coils are still on the incorrect phases. Chunks
@Sc00bs was having a good look at the settings and nothing stands out to be incorrect. And based on your last post you might be correct, CT Coils might still be an issue. Sc00bs
