September 29, 20241 yr Afternoon All, So, did the recent beta software update for SA on Saturday morning. The system didn't reboot. Couldn't connect via blooteeth either (which usually is the option used to reboot when the system gets "stuck"). This morning I tried my hand at installing a new Image on the Pi. Found myself a 32Gb SD card and did the neccessary Flashing etc. TBH, I amazed myself that it worked. I now have the system up and running again so have taken it that the old SD card was corrupted or damaged during the software install phase. But when doing the flashy thingy, I see that I do have some other 128Gb SD cards available. Wanted to ask here if they can be used for increased storage over time? Or is the system limited to a 32Gb SD card? Thanks, MdF Edited September 29, 20241 yr by MdF
September 29, 20241 yr Depends on which Pi model you have and also the format. See the Pi forum discussion https://forums.raspberrypi.com/viewtopic.php?t=377246

September 30, 20241 yr Author Pleased to report that after the flashy thingy yesterday, SA has been working smoothly. In fact I would say it is working faster than before. Not sure if its the SD card performing better or the fact that the old SD card was having issues for a while before it went bust? Note to self, maybe do a flasy thingy once a year to keep the system running optimally and fast? Thoughts? MdF
October 24, 20241 yr Author Update. Just yesterday, I noticed that SA was flatlining at set data figures for about 2 hours. Did a reboot of the Pi but it then started to show some issues on the home page with Grafana not loading properly and some weird red login boxes. Decided to do the flash-thingy again but this time used a 128Gb SD card (forget the name now) that was said to be a high performance card. Followed that with a backup of old data and the system is so far not showing any issues. It does say however, that a software update is available, but I am hanging off on that for a while to see if I get any other issues. MdF Edited October 24, 20241 yr by MdF
