Deye Cloud

Featured Replies

Hi,

I am mainly using Sunsynk inverters, so I am used to their interface, but I would like to explore Deye as well, in particular their remote monitoring & administrating platform (Deye Cloud). I know they had been using solarman for a while, but that only provides monitoring without control. Also it seems like Deye Cloud is pretty new?

A question I have, is the Deye capable of being remotely administrated with Deye Cloud, the same that Sunsynk offered when they rolled out the new data logger? If so, does the standard data logger on the Deye work for this functionality, or does the data logger also have to be upgraded, and to which model?

Thanks

Solarman dongle and the solarman cloud does allow for remote control - its clunky but it works.

Thanks. Are you also able to adjust your settings from the app? I am hoping to get my new Deye 16kW this week.

Yes. I installed a new system at our factory three weeks ago. See screenshots. I am making 55KW a day on the newest 8KW Deye Hybrid with a Volta Stage 4.

A few years ago I registered my Deye 8kW on Solarman, which was new to me at the time and was quite disappointing.

I was used to the monitor for Victron.

Later I installed a micro inverter and wanted to connect it to Solarman: impossible.

So registered on Deye cloud: works perfectly. With a micro on the gen port of the Deye hybrid, Solarman no longer knew how it should be displayed.

The micro is not seen as PV generation.

I also coupled the hybride to deye cloud.

Even more misery came along and then I switched to Solar Assistant: more than great.

You can even connect a local screen and mouse so that you can live completely without internet: no one can interfere with your settings and you can program your inverter at all times.
