June 9, 20251 yr My Sunsynk 8kw inverter has 2 strings. Can I put 5 panels of 545w each on one string and 7 panels of 545w each on the other string without having a negative effect on the production?

June 10, 20251 yr Hi Andre, Yes it should not be a problem at all - but obviously the one string will produce less energy than the other...

There is then one MPPT controller for each string, and it will work perfectly as it was engineered to.Don't try to connect the two unequal strings in parallel to each other into a single PV input.
