Panels on a string

Featured Replies

My Sunsynk 8kw inverter has 2 strings.
Can I put 5 panels of 545w each on one string and 7 panels of 545w each on the other string without having a negative effect on the production?

It will work with that config.

Hi Andre, Yes it should not be a problem at all - but obviously the one string will produce less energy than the other...

Thanks Hennie

The difference in energy per string would not have a negative impact on the inverter's perfomance?

You have to put each string on its own PV input. There is then one MPPT controller for each string, and it will work perfectly as it was engineered to.

Don't try to connect the two unequal strings in parallel to each other into a single PV input.
