Microinverter & Panels to Aux Input on Sunsynk

Featured Replies

I have read enough to know this is possible and spoken to two installers who are looking into this.

Setup so far:

8.8Kw Sunsynk

16 X 550W Longi

6 X R100 5.2Kw Revov

Now I wish to add a 2500W Microinverter to the Aux Input and face 4 X 615W panels to the rising sun early morning to feed into the system so that the morning draw does not deplete the batteries.

If you have done this and can offer advice as to where to purchase the needed Microinverter I would appreciate that.

This is a easy add on. As the Solis 4G mini is such a reliable inverter I would look at sites selling them 2nd hand. Price will be around R3000. Start up voltage is around 120V iirc. No need for a CT to prevent export as the Sunsynk will control the export.

I haven't done it personally, but know of people that have. Give Wimpie (Powerforum-store) a call or WhatApp on +27 67 189 7084, he has oodles of experience, gives great advice and has sourced specific things for me in the past at a great price.

It's not a must, but it is nice to have an inverter that responds to frequency shift. I also prefer not having the electronics sitting between the roof and solar panels.

Currently there is a 1.1kW Solis for R2500 that was used on a Deye and is no longer needed to provide more PV charging.

Just activate Micro inverter and provide the required settings on the Deye /Sunsynk screen.
