May 12, 20197 yr Hi guys As we all basically working on principle that we can't trust Eskom... and heaven forbid they push a surge down the line which blows our inverter.... what's everyone doing, I'm looking at putting something in my DB, thinking 240V... Din mountable ? G
May 13, 20197 yr I fitted DehnGuard surge protectors to a DB that feeds a sub-DB for inverter/battery circuits, and received very prompt and efficient technical guidance from the engineers at their Midrand office. Typical German efficiency - I recall an extremely helpful person named Ivan Grobbelaar. https://www.dehn-africa.com/en-za I understand that they are working with SABS to update the SANS 10142-1-1:2018 Edition 1 to include surge protection and that the new 10142 may have PV panels and inverter/battery configurations eventually included (we can hope).
